Assemblies
Options include either a single performance followed by one classroom visit or 2 back-to-back performances with no classroom visits.

Dancing Around The World
Dressing in colorful costumes from around the world, Fusha Dance Company Dancers take your students on a lively tour of the globe that can be tailored to your school’s needs. World cultures come to life through a variety of dances ranging from the North, South West, East and Central Africa, to the classic ballroom, modern styles, and from Brazilian and Caribbean, samba’s salsas reggae moves to American tap and jazz.
This spirited, interactive program promotes, leadership by building strong leaders in the classroom and by building cross-cultural appreciation and understanding. Students from the audience are invited to learn some new moves and this is called Dance and Go.

History of Street Dance
Fusha dancers lead a performance that includes contemporary urban dance styles such as popping, locking, breaking, freestyle, hip-hop, and house. Through performance and at times discussions, the dancers teach students the geographic, historic, and the social context of the movements and music. After demonstrating some astounding performances, the dancers invite the audience members to participate in this interactive assembly.

African Dance & Music
Fusha Dance Dancers presents the sounds, stories and rhythms of Africa in this vibrant assembly, which includes drumming, dancing, singing and story-telling. Students learn the history and importance of these art forms, in the African culture and after the performance, the audience is invited to join and learn dance moves and play instruments led by Fusha Dance Company Drummers.

Using their imaginations parents painted about where they will live 20 years from now.

Leadership/Violence Prevention
Funmilayo Chesney is a leadership trainer. This workshop is taught in schools for K-1 to 12th Grade. She offers 15 lessons that ends in a cumulative event. We offer 5 different themes for workshops: Upstander Power, Her Story, His Story, Character Development, Restorative Justice, Leadership and Violence Prevention Leadership.
Bullying is a widespread issue affecting students both in-person and online, and its consequences can be detrimental to the well-being of those involved. Addressing this problem requires comprehensive approaches that go beyond simply reducing bullying behavior. Fusha Dance Company's Leadership Curriculum offers a unique approach to bullying prevention, violence prevention, and character building. We've been teaching these workshops in NYC Public Schools for 20 plus years annually. The program builds strong leaders in the classroom and in our community. Contact us for more details.
Congocise
CONGOCISE is an exciting new aerobics-fitness workout created by Funmilayo Chesney in 2006. CONGOCISE is a cardio dance workout parallel to none. Move over Zumba Congocise is here! A fusion of Congolese, Latin, Brazilian, Jamaican, Cuban, Haitian, Columbian, Hip-Hop, Soca, Old School, and Reaggaton dance styles, the workout is intuitive - leading our bodies to naturally move to the beat and invoke our happy spirit. Based on muscle memory and easy-to-learn movements combined with a progressive increase in cardio training throughout the class, Congocise makes it ideal for people of all shapes, sizes, skill levels and ages to exercise. We incorporate isometrics, sticks, hoops, lappas and even light weights (optional) to help tone arms.
